Bible Reading Challenge Get to know the reason for the season by reading just one chapter a day from the New Testament book of Luke.  On December 1st read Luke chapter 1 …. on December 2nd read chapter 2 …. on December 3rd read chapter 3 and so on until you get to Christmas Eve and the end of Luke.  Then on Christmas morning re-read Luke chapter 2 and remember all you learned about the greatest Christmas gift ever …. Jesus  Christ, the Savior of the World!

Don’t have a Bible? Use this link for BibleGateway so you can use your phone, tablet or computer to read the Bible. Want your own Bible? Check out the challenge below and earn a New Testament of your own.

Bible Memory Challenge The best Christmas story ever is recorded in Luke 2:1-20. Starting December 1st, read the verses out loud in the morning and then right before bed.  Listen to an audio recording of the passage while riding in the car or taking a walk. Think about the verses. Talk about them. Before you know it, you will have many of the verses committed to memory. To get all of the verses memorized just work a bit harder and learn one verse a day starting on December 1st and soon you will have it all memorized.  Make it an enjoyable family project that will benefit your family all year long! Here is a link to a printable version of the passage.

God will bless you for memorizing these verses and hiding them in your heart … He always does.  Need an extra incentive though?  Have an adult in your family send us a message telling us that you said the verses and we will send you a pocket New Testament and a fun vinyl sticker of Jesus with the children.  Don’t have someone to tell the verses to?  Let us know and we will listen!  Be sure to do a good job memorizing all of the words.
